Infrastructure Requirements

This section describes the hardware and software requirements for working with TRON.ASOC. It consists of two parts:

  • User workstation—the specifications for the computer the user uses to open the system's web interface;
  • Server infrastructure—the specifications for the server or virtual machine where TRON.ASOC runs.

User workstation

To use the TRON.ASOC web interface correctly, the user workstation must meet the following specifications.

SpecificationMinimum valueRecommended value
Number of cores2 cores2 cores or more
RAM4 GB8 GB or more
Hard drive1 GB of free space4 GB; an SSD is recommended for better performance
Network connection100 Mbps1 Gbps
Operating systemWindows 10 or later; macOS 10.14 or later; current Linux distributions that support current browser versions—
BrowserChromium-compatible browsers (Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Safari) and Mozilla Firefox—

Server infrastructure

This section describes the requirements for the server or virtual machine where TRON.ASOC runs. Select a configuration based on the expected volume of stored incidents.

Processing speed—up to 100,000 incidents per minute.

¹ The specified storage capacities include:

  • space for containers and system software (~5–10 GB),
  • databases (PostgreSQL, Clickhouse, MinIO) based on the incident retention period,
  • database backups.

You don't need to allocate a separate disk for databases—they're already included in the total capacity.

² Custom configuration. To calculate specifications for a custom configuration, contact support.

Calculating database storage

TRON.ASOC uses three databases:

  • PostgreSQL—stores the system's main entities;
  • Clickhouse—stores security issues and the change history for vulnerabilities;
  • MinIO—stores files in custom project fields and user reports (the average file size is 50 MB).

The following are approximate storage requirements for each database based on the configuration.

Database storage for one month of retention

DatabaseBasicExtendedCustom
PostgreSQL4–5 GB8–10 GB10 GB+
Clickhouse8–10 GB16–20 GB20 GB+
MinIO5–6 GB10–12 GB12 GB+
Total17–21 GB34–42 GB42 GB+

Database backups

Allocate additional disk space for database backups and restoration. The recommended factor is 2x to 3x the total database storage. The exact factor depends on your backup policy.

Example calculation for the basic configuration:

ComponentSize
Total database storage (1 month)~17–21 GB
Backup (2x factor)~34–42 GB
Total database storage (1 year)~210 GB
Backup for one year (2x factor)~420 GB

Note. The calculations above cover only database storage and backups. They're included in the total storage capacity from the main characteristics table, which also accounts for space for containers and system software.
