Creating a security layer from a template

In addition to creating a security layer from scratch, you can use a previously configured template. Creating a security layer from a template differs from creating one from scratch because the layer parameters are prefilled with the values specified in the template.

note

For more information about configuring security layer templates, see Project security layer templates.

Creating a security layer from a template

To create a new security layer from a template, follow these steps:

  1. Go to the Projects section.
  2. Find the required project.
  3. Go to the project overview page.
  4. Go to the Security layers tab.
  5. Select Add layer.
  6. Select From template.
  7. Select the required template from the list.
  8. Review the prefilled field values and change them if needed.
  9. Select Create.

Copying an existing security layer

You can also copy an existing security layer. If the layer contains security checks, the checks are copied without scan sources.

To copy an existing security layer, follow these steps:

  1. Go to Projects → Project name → Security layers.
  2. Select Add layer.
  3. Select Copy existing layer.
  4. Select the original layer from the list.
  5. If needed, specify scan sources for the copied security checks.
