Create a security layer from scratch

A security layer (pipeline) is a grouping entity for security checks. System users can create new security layers or configure existing layers according to their assigned roles.

Each security layer is associated with a project.

Security layers are represented as a hierarchy. You can configure nested layers. The default maximum number of layers is 10, but you can change the maximum nesting level when you deploy the system.

Layer parameters

Each security layer is represented as a separate hierarchy object and includes the following parameters:

  • Layer name;
  • Security check status—the overall status of the layer's checks. The following statuses are available:
    • Ready;
    • No runs yet;
    • Not completed;
    • In progress;
    • Control failed;
    • Control passed;
  • Scan results for the selected layer;
  • Security issues for the selected layer;
  • Quality controls for the selected layer;
  • Start a new scan—starts a scan;
  • A list of security checks.
