Creating a layer from a template
In addition to creating a project layer from scratch, you can use a preconfigured Template. Creating a layer from a Template differs from creating one from scratch because the layer parameters are populated with the values specified in the Template.
note
For more information about configuring layer templates, see Project layer templates.
Creating a layer from a template
To create a new project layer from a Template, follow these steps:
- Go to Projects.
- Find the required project.
- Go to the project overview page.
- Go to the Project layers tab.
- Select Add layer.
- Select From template.
- Select the required Template from the list.
- Review the prepopulated field values and change them if needed.
- Select Create.
Copying an existing layer
You can also copy an existing project layer. If the layer you're copying contains security checks, the checks are copied without scan sources.
To copy an existing project layer, follow these steps:
- Go to Projects → Project name → Project layers.
- Select Add layer.
- Select Copy existing layer.
- Select the original layer from the list.
- If needed, specify scan sources for the copied security checks.
