Create a security layer from scratch

A security layer (pipeline) is a grouping entity for security checks. System users can create new security layers or configure existing layers based on their assigned role.

Each security layer is linked to a project.

Security layers appear in a hierarchy. You can configure nested security layers. The default maximum number of layers is 10, but you can change the maximum nesting depth when you deploy the system.

Layer parameters

Each security layer appears as a separate hierarchy object and includes the following parameters:

  • Layer name;
  • Security check status—the overall status of the layer's checks. The following statuses are available:
    • Ready;
    • No runs yet;
    • Incomplete;
    • In progress;
    • Control failed;
    • Control passed;
  • Scan results for the selected layer;
  • Security issues for the selected layer;
  • Quality controls for the selected layer;
  • Start a new scan—starts a scan;
  • List of security checks.
