Create a layer from scratch
A security layer (pipeline) is a grouping entity for security checks. Users can create new security layers or configure existing layers based on their assigned role.
Each security layer is associated with a project.
Security layers appear in a hierarchy. You can configure layers to contain nested layers. The default maximum number of layers is 10, but you can change the maximum nesting level when you deploy the system.
Layer parameters
Each security layer appears as a separate hierarchy object and contains the following parameters:
- Layer name;
- Security check status—the overall status of checks for the layer. The following statuses are available:
- Ready;
- No runs yet;
- Not completed;
- In progress;
- Control failed;
- Control passed;
- Scan results for the selected layer;
- Security issues for the selected layer;
- Quality controls for the selected layer;
- Start a new scan—starts a scan;
- List of security checks.
